NH Music Collective presents Chris Lester live! Chris Lester is a New Hampshire based singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer. He started performing in New England before moving to California to join Atlantic recording artists Wild Horses. In 2001 Lester moved back to New Hampshire and joined the band Mama Kicks (who won multiple Best Band awards in the Hippo Press). In 2010 he played bass/mandolin/acoustic guitar (as well as co-wrote the song My Light) on Sully Erna's Avalon album which broke the Top 25 on Billboard. They have also toured throughout the United States and Canada and released a live DVD that was featured on the Palladia Channel.

In 2014 Chris had the honor of playing guitar with the legendary Carole King. 2016 saw the release of Sully Erna's Hometown Life album which Chris played bass and acoustic guitar on. He also went to Bulgaria and toured the East Coast playing guitar, bass, mandolin and keyboards. He now plays guitar and keyboards as well as sings lead vocals for the Joe Walsh songs in The Dark Desert Eagles (an Eagles tribute with Extreme's Pat Badger and Kevin Figueiredo) as well as performing solo acoustic shows.

Imagine a parallel universe in which Lorde and Johnny Cash have a baby, and you’ve got a pretty good idea of Phil ’n the Blanks. Known for their pure harmonies and inventive melodies, Phil ’n the Blanks please audiences from Portland to Bar Harbor with their original songs and popular cover tunes. Their influences— from folk to rock to blues to American pop, Tom Petty to One Republic—are as wide as their experience. Lead singer Phil knows how to write for his three-octave range, except when he takes a break from his chunky chop rhythm guitar to finesse a solo on lead guitar.

Meanwhile Emily (who played in the Tufts Symphony Orchestra and has been singing onstage all her life) literally fills in the blanks with her tight and brilliant harmonies. Steve Allain is a native New Englander and veteran singer-songwriter who has been invited to play many festivals and stages throughout the US. He has also had the opportunity to play opening sets for several nationally touring acts. 

Allain has just released a new album titled Bird In My Chest, which has garnered much praise and attention. He continues to be recognized for his excellent musicianship and soulful voice, and has been nominated for numerous awards over the past several years. With his diversity, his shows can vary from intimate and soulful, to attention-grabbing and exciting.

Paul Bourgelais is a seasoned jazz guitarist and educator based in New Hampshire, known for his expressive style and deep commitment to music education. With over 30 years of teaching experience at both public schools and the college level—including positions at Plymouth State University and the University of New Hampshire—he has influenced countless students. As the leader and principal composer of the Paul Bourgelais Jazz Trio, he released the acclaimed album John’s Vacation, praised for its lyrical, fusion-inspired compositions reminiscent of Bill Frisell and Pat Metheny. Beyond jazz, Paul is a versatile performer, active in musical theater, classical guitar recitals, and various ensemble settings, often playing 2–6 gigs per week. He also serves as a music teacher at Winnisquam Regional Middle School in Tilton, NH

Midge (Megan Clancy) is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from northern Virginia, now based in Portland, Maine. She began writing songs at 11 and has since released three singles and an EP, all written and produced independently. Blending indie-pop and folk-rock, her music draws on influences from 1970s folk-rock and 1980s alternative, heard in tracks like “Drunk Voicemail” and “Need You Anymore.” A recent University of Virginia graduate, she performed with two campus bands, including the all-female Fair Verona. Midge is currently recording and producing new material, building on skills from her independent study in music production.

Guitarist and singer-songwriter, Danny McCarthy, is a North Shore Massachusetts musician most well known as the lead singer and guitarist for River Sang Wild. Danny has performed throughout New England with RSW and various other projects including solo performances. He has worked alongside Boston-based music legends Barry Goudreau, Brian Maes, Tim Archibald and Kook Lawry, in a variety of roles, including performing, recording, doing guitar technician work and assuming the role of stage manager for Barry Goudreau's Engine Room. Most recently he has taken on the role as lead guitarist in local tribute band 5:15 “A Celebration of the Music of The Who”. He is now linking up with NH Music Collective to bring his solo performance to the Granite state.

Senie Hunt is a self-taught singer-songwriter and percussive guitarist adopted from Sierra Leone, bringing with him an inherent passion for West African rhythms and percussion. Senie’s playing is eclectic, powerful and artfully unique.
